Michael B. Carlson Named Cost Estimating Manager At Camaco LLC
NOVI, Mich.--Jan. 28, 2003--Michael B. Carlson has joined Camaco LLC as cost estimating manager, according to Camaco President and CEO Arvind Pradhan. His responsibilities include cost estimating of new designs and changes as well as establishing cost targets for all parts and assemblies. Camaco is the largest independent supplier in North America of engineered seat frames, headrests, armrests and other metal structures to the automotive market.Mr. Carlson had been a senior cost estimator at the Nissan Technical Center, North America, working in the Parts Cost Management Group.
"Michael's extensive knowledge and expertise in cost estimating, assembly processing and production tooling will be important to Camaco's growth and market success," said Pradhan.
Mr. Carlson's previous positions included management and engineering posts with Excel Industries (Southfield, Mich.), Atwood Automotive Industries (Rockford, Ill.), W.G. Carlson and Sons (Rockford, Ill.) and the Reliable Machine Company (Rockford, Ill.).
Mr. Carlson began his career as a tool and die maker in the mid-1960s, and later served in supervisory positions as plant manager, process engineer and model shop supervisor.
