PRESS RELEASE: The IceDozer

How many ice scrapers have you bought this winter? How many have you lost?
How many work? Are you frustrated by how badly they work?

Well, two Philadelphia entrepreneurs have come up with a solution. They
introduced the IceDozer™, the world's first high-tech ice scraper. This
product features the Flexiblade™ which incorporates three different attack
surfaces that bend to the contour of the windshield. They also unveiled the
SnowMover™, the only snow shovel with 'whiskers'. This scientifically
engineered tool easily removes even deep snow while protecting the vehicle's
paint finish. Click here to read more:

to set up demonstrations and to answer questions. If you need to contact

Additional Story Information: Impaired Driving Visibility:

The primary danger in winter driving.

Winter can be beautiful, except when you find it all over your car on a
frigid morning. Then it can turn deadly! You scrape futilely at the ice on
the car, only to drive away with a blurry peephole through which to
navigate. Or, you venture out with snow on the roof and whumpf!- you're in
'white out' conditions the first time you stamp on the brakes.

Every winter, accidents occur because of bad visibility. According to the
National Department of Transportation, in 1999 there were 606 fatal crashes
and 42,000 injury crashes under snow/sleet conditions, and that visibility
played a role 2.3% of the time. How many lives >might be saved if drivers
had the proper tools for removing ice and snow?

We're all guilty! The kids are complaining, you're cold, you have an
important appointment. Whatever the excuse, we compound the dangers of
winter by driving with obscured visibility. Sensible, courteous people who'd
never think of leaving the driveway with worn tires or bad brakes, will
drive their children to school peering through a glass with the optical
quality of wax paper.

Such reckless behavior is not just foolish, it's against the law! In
Pennsylvania, for example, "Any person who drives a vehicle in careless
disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of careless
driving, a summary offense." (75 Pa. Cons. Stat. 3714) The penalty is up to
90 days in jail or a $300 fine.
