DETROIT - Cadillac continued its partnership with the NFL for the second year as the official vehicle of Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego, CA. As part of this sponsorship, Cadillac presented the MVP Award recipient a brand new Cadillac. Dexter Jackson was able to select any one vehicle from Cadillac's 2003 or 2004 model year line up, including the new for 2004 luxury roadster, the Cadillac XLR. At the post-game press conference on January 27 in San Diego, Jackson chose the Cadillac Escalade.

Cadillac's sponsorship of the MVP Award put fans in the "driver's seat" by allowing them to vote on-line for the player they felt deserved the award. Beginning in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, fans were able to cast their ballots on the Superbowl.com MVP Ballot presented by Cadillac. The fan vote counted for roughly 20 percent, with 15 on-site media members representing the other 80 percent. Furthermore, fans were encouraged to vote for one of four Cadillacs, which they felt best suited the player for whom they voted. Fans who correctly voted for Jackson will be entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to Houston for Super Bowl XXXVIII. The trip includes two tickets to the game, airfare and hotel accommodations. More than51% of the fans that correctly voted for Jackson on the Superbowl.com MVP Ballot presented by Cadillaccorrectly guessed that he would select the Cadillac Escalade.
