Metaldyne Announces 20 Additional Sites Achieve ISO 14001 Certification



    PLYMOUTH, Mich., Jan. 28 -- Metaldyne announced today that an
additional 20 sites worldwide have been registered to the International
Organization of Standardization (ISO) 14001 environmental certification,
including 19 manufacturing facilities and its corporate headquarters in
Plymouth, Mich.
    ISO 14001 is an international environmental management system that
integrates business practices with environmental goals to control impact on
the environment while promoting productivity and reduction of waste.
    "This achievement demonstrates that Metaldyne has taken a serious,
quality-based approach to environmental management that is consistent with the
expectations of our automotive customers," said Dean Teeples, director,
environmental health and safety.
    Metaldyne currently has 31 of its 50 locations registered for ISO 14001
certification, including 30 manufacturing sites and its corporate headquarters
in Plymouth, Mich.  The company's 30 manufacturing sites that have achieved
