Kansas Speedway Announces Another Sellout
KANSAS CITY, Kan., Jan. 27 -- For an unprecedented third time in as many years, Kansas Speedway officials announced tickets for the five races that make up the track's RPM ticket season are sold out. All 80,187 season tickets for "The Track That Will Blow You Away!" have been purchased by motorsports-hungry race fans from around the country. An RPM Ticket this year includes admission to five races: the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 on July 5; the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series event and Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series Aventis Racing for Kids 100 on July 6; NASCAR Busch Series Mr. Goodcents 300 on Oct. 4 and NASCAR Winston Cup Series event on Oct. 5. Tickets sold out quickly because of a high renewal rate and an extensive waiting list that had been compiled after last year's sellout. Speedway President Jeff Boerger encouraged race fans interested in RPM events at Kansas Speedway should call and be placed on a waiting list for 2004. "The overall package at Kansas Speedway and the diverse motorsports schedule at our track makes people want to come back year after year," speedway President Jeff Boerger said. "We've generated interest among new race fans and have helped the growth of motorsports across the Midwest. We've created the best possible experience for race fans and we're thrilled that the word has spread about Kansas Speedway." A waiting list for tickets will be compiled for 2004. Anyone interested in purchasing RPM tickets for future seasons should call Kansas Speedway's ticket office at 913.328.RACE to be added to the list. Future expansion and addition of seats at Kansas Speedway is based on the waiting list. Though Kansas Speedway's RPM ticket package is sold out, seats for as low as $20 are now available for Kansas Speedway's opening weekend, May 31 and June 1. The ARCA RE/MAX Series BPU 200 and Kansas Speedway / Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue Cookoff will jump-start an exciting 2003. The season-opening barbecue and BPU 200 is not part of the RPM ticket package. Also, qualifying tickets for every event at Kansas Speedway and Fan Walk tickets are on sale.
