Technology Marketing Veteran and Technical Specialist Join Salion's Detroit Automotive Team
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 27 -- Salion, Inc., the leading provider of revenue acquisition management software for automotive suppliers, has expanded its Detroit-based marketing and technical staff with the addition of David Miller, a veteran technology marketer who joins the company as its Regional Automotive Sales Director, and Alex Bentley who joins Salion as a Professional Services Consultant. Miller brings to Salion more than 20 years of experience in marketing technology and software to the automotive industry. He'll focus his efforts on helping automotive suppliers gain better control of their revenue acquisition process which is costing suppliers hundreds of millions in lost revenue and productivity, according to a 2002 study by Altarum's Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Most recently, Miller was a member of Covisint's supplier sales team. Prior to that, he was sales director with Hyperion Solutions, director of supplier sales at i2 Technologies, and vice-president of the automotive and transportation division at Thru-Put Technologies. He has also held various sales and sales management positions with QAD, Inc. and the Xerox Corporation. Miller is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a BA in Business. Bentley has five years of technical delivery, product definition and customer project management experience with a variety of companies. Most recently, Bentley was with S1 Corporation where he was a product manager responsible for the company's S1 Application Manager (SAM) and Software Development Kit (SDK) for its CRM financial software product lines. He also authored the strategy document for SDK. Bentley previously worked at Trilogy, Inc. as well as its subsidiary, pcOrder.com, where he led business process re-engineering and deployed custom software solutions for multiple Fortune 1000 companies. He's also worked with other industry leaders including Electronic Commerce Industries, Inc., HP China, and Nortel Networks. He is a 1997 graduate of Purdue University where he earned a BS in Chemical Engineering.
