Pamida Stores Names Exide Technologies as Supplier of the Year



    PRINCETON, N.J., Jan. 24 -- Pamida Stores,
headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, has named Exide Technologies as its Vendor
of the Year for 2002.  Exide Technologies (OTC Bulletin Board: EXDTQ),

Pamida, a leading U.S. retailer known for "bringing smaller communities what
they want," has more than 200 outlets located in county seat towns with
