San Diego Opera Announces Audi of America, Inc. as 2002-2003 Season Sponsor

    SAN DIEGO, Jan. 23 -- San Diego Opera is pleased to announce
that Audi of America, Inc. has committed to its seventh consecutive year as
the Opera's season sponsor.  The 2002-2003 season opens on January 25, 2003,
with Beethoven's Fidelio and continues with four additional productions
featuring magnificent music, international stars and spectacular theatre.
    "Audi is proud to continue supporting San Diego Opera as it embarks on its
38th International season," stated Maria Nahigian, Audi's event marketing
manager.  "We look forward to riveting performances and exciting promotions
that deliver an integrated sponsorship."  This year's black-tie opera gala
adopts a French theme to coincide with the opening night of Therese Raquin on
March 22, 2003.

    Audi's visionary support includes "Make a Play for A Cabriolet!" test
drive contest, whose lucky winner will receive a one-year lease of a 2003 A4
Cabriolet.  The contest began, January 17, 2003, with a party at Metro Audi
and concludes with a random drawing at Miramar Audi on Sunday, March 9, 2003.
