Transbotics Secures Order for Laser Guided Vehicle System in the Automotive Industry

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Jan. 23, 2003--Transbotics Corporation, (OTCBB: TNSB.OB; www.transbotics.com), announced they received an order from a new client in the automotive industry.
The order totaling approximately $225,000 includes a vehicle, controls, hardware, software, engineering services and related equipment.
This system includes Transbotics new Dual Conveyor vehicle, which has unique laser guided quad movement capabilities. In addition, the vehicle utilizes the latest in LaserWay(R) technology that recognizes round reflectors to continuously position itself within the system. These new round reflectors provide greater accuracy and flexibility compared to our flat reflectors, since they are easier to recognize, and eliminate false readings. The new vehicle is also equipped with laser safety bumpers that can dynamically vary in the field of safety depending on the requirements of the system. The vehicle was originally built on a modular design, which means that Transbotics uses proven key common components and applies them to future manufactured vehicles. In addition, the front and rear panels as well as the conveyors can be unlatched and lifted for easy access. In the past panels had to be unscrewed and taken off.
For over 20 years Transbotics Corporation has specialized in the design, development, support and installation of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs), or transportation robots, with an emphasis on complete customer satisfaction.
