Global Logistics Veteran Latest To Join Richmond Events' Logistics & Supply Chain Forum Advisory Board; Forum Developed for Qualified Elite Logistics Executives

    NEW YORK--Jan. 23, 2003--The Sixth Annual Logistics & Supply Chain Forum, an exclusive, senior-level event for 175 qualified executives in the logistics and supply chain space, has announced that Wayne Paul, VP of Transportation for the world's largest home retailer, The Home Depot, will serve on the Forum's Advisory Board.
    Paul, who heads the group responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of products to all Home Depot stores, brings more than 23 years of experience in transportation services and logistics management to the board. The board consists of a select group of men and women who advise on the strategic direction and for this high-level event, which takes place May 4-7, on board P&O's newest ocean liner Adonia.
    Before joining The Home Depot, Paul served as VP of Logistics for 7-Eleven, Inc., where he was responsible for executing and enhancing the company's strategic focus on an improved demand chain to enhance product quality and reduce logistics costs. He's also served as area VP and GM for Webvan Group, Inc., where he led the launch of the Internet retailer's business in Chicago.
    Paul's skill-set also includes new business development, client relations and customer retention, areas he was responsible for as SVP of J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. At J.B. Hunt, he also led the efforts to organize and direct start-up operations for the dedicated contract services division in Mexico.
    Paul, who holds numerous professional affiliations including American Management Association, Academy of Management, Council of Logistics Management, Who's Who in International Business, Canadian Association of Logistics Management and the National Defense Transportation Association, will join these outstanding logistics executives on the Advisory Board:
