Saab Names Edward J. Peper, Jr. Vice President of Sales
NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 23 Ed Peper has been named Vice
President of Sales for Saab Cars USA, Inc., the U.S. importer and distributor
of Saab 9-5 and 9-3 automobiles, parts and accessories.
In this capacity, Peper will be responsible for the management of Saab's
vehicle sales and distribution and the achievement of Saab's annual new car
sales objectives. This position is extremely critical to ensuring the
continued growth of the Saab brand in the U.S. Under Peper's direction, the
Regional teams, Retail Network Development (RND), Distribution, and Sales
Operations teams will implement Saab's sales strategies, and will prepare the
company for the arrival of a revamped product portfolio. Peper reports to
Debra Kelly-Ennis, President and COO of Saab Cars USA, Inc.
"Ed is a strong leader and motivator, has extensive experience in the
luxury sector of the industry, has a proven track record for consistently
growing sales and market share throughout his career and is very well
respected by the dealers that have worked with him. He is the perfect person
to help us achieve our aggressive growth targets of breaking through 40,000
units in the U.S. for 2003," said Debra Kelly-Ennis.
Prior to this promotion, Peper was General Motors' Northeast Regional
Sales Manager for Pontiac, Buick and GMC. Having begun his career with GM in
1984, Peper has nearly 15 years of luxury brand experience with Cadillac and
has held several positions of progressively increasing responsibility in which
he has consistently achieved sales growth success. Peper holds a Master of
Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School
of Business and a Bachelors of Arts degree in English with a minor in Business
Administration from Hillsdale College in Michigan.
