Continental Teves Secures Major Brake and Chassis Contract With Nissan

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 21 Continental Teves, a unit of
Continental AG, announced that it has been awarded a significant contract to
supply advanced brake and chassis technologies to a major North American
automotive manufacturer.
    Continental Teves will supply Nissan with Anti-lock Brake Systems (ABS),
Continental's Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and the Traction Control
System (TCS).  Continental Teves will also provide active and mechanical
boosters with Brake Assist, and master cylinders.  The systems and components
will be installed on a trio of future Nissan vehicles, beginning with the 2005
model year.
    "This contract demonstrates our ability to be true partners with our
customers, further enhancing the quality and performance of Continental Teves
technologies in their vehicles," said Bill Kozyra, president, Continental
Teves North America.
    Continental Teves will supply Nissan from its award-winning North American
plants in Morganton and Asheville, N.C., and Culpeper, Va.
