The Super Bowl MVP Award Encourages Fans to Vote for the MVP Online
To Win a Trip to Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston

DETROIT, Jan. 21 Cadillac continues its partnership with
the NFL for the second year as the official vehicle of Super Bowl XXXVII in
San Diego, CA. The three-year arrangement enables GM to promote Cadillac
vehicles during this high-profile event in a variety of ways. Elements
include sponsorship of the game's MVP presentation, special events,
hospitality, exposure at NFL events and parties and advertising on
Superbowl.com. Cadillac will also use the Super Bowl XXXVII broadcast to
debut several new ads for 2003, including the division's first-ever 90 second
TV ad.
As the official vehicle sponsor of Super Bowl XXXVII, Cadillac will
present the MVP Award recipient a set of keys to a brand new Cadillac.
The player who receives the award can select any one vehicle from Cadillac's
2003 or 2004 model year line up, including the new for 2004 luxury roadster,
the Cadillac XLR. The MVP Award presentation will be done on the field
following the conclusion of the Super Bowl when Mike Tirico, CBS Sports
announcer, names the MVP during the Post-Game celebrations and presentations.
On Monday, January 27 the player will announce which Cadillac he has chosen at
the Cadillac MVP Post-Super Bowl Press Conference at the San Diego Convention
Center.
Cadillac's sponsorship of the MVP Award puts fans in the "driver's seat"
by allowing them to vote on-line for the player they feel deserves the award.
Beginning in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, fans may cast their ballots
on the Superbowl.com MVP Ballot presented by Cadillac. The fan vote will
count for roughly 20 percent, with 15 on-site media members representing the
other 80 percent. Furthermore, fans are encouraged to vote for one of four
Cadillacs, which they feel best suits the players for whom they vote. Fans
who correctly vote for the MVP will be entered into a drawing to win a trip
for two to Houston for Super Bowl XXXVIII. The trip includes two tickets to
the game, airfare and hotel accommodations.
In addition, during Super Bowl week, Cadillac will be holding a press
conference on Thursday, January 23 at the San Diego Convention Center hosted
by Super Bowl XXI MVP, Phil Simms. Four of the most memorable Super Bowl MVPs
will be on hand to celebrate American Success as they discuss their favorite
memories and experiences while playing in the Super Bowl. Among those in
attendance will be Tom Brady, Emmitt Smith, Lynn Swann and Larry Csonka.
On Saturday, January 25 Cadillac will transform a parking lot into a
virtual raceway for the Cadillac Super Bowl Grand Prix. Cadillac and the
school led by legendary racer Bob Bondurant will host celebrities, such as
Ashton Kutcher, Brittany Murphy and Wayne Brady, as they race against each
other in head-to-head competition for charity. Cadillac will present the
winner with a check for $15,000 for their favorite charity ($7,500 for second
place and $2,500 for third). The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance
Driving will provide each celebrity with a safety training, safety gear and
on-track training in the ProKarts prior to the official race. ProKarts are
"go-karts" specifically designed for racing, powered by two, six horsepower
engines (allowing speeds up to 70 miles per hour) that offer amazing high
performance driving. In addition, members of the media will have the
opportunity to drive in the event during a special "media preview" before the
celebrity race.

Cadillac is a division of GM, the world's largest manufacturer of motor
vehicles. Cadillac markets the all-new CTS luxury sedan, DeVille, Seville,
the Escalade sport utility vehicle, the Escalade EXT sport utility truck, and
the new for 2003 Escalade ESV utility. Coming in 2004 are the all-new
Cadillac XLR, a two-seat luxury roadster, and the Cadillac SRX, a
5- or 7-passenger luxury utility.
