Toyota to increase number of hybrid car models

TOKYO January 21, 2003: Japan Today reported that Toyota Motor Corp plans to increase the number of its hybrid car models to about 10 within four or five years, Toyota President Fujio Cho said Monday.

"We want to add one or two models this year, including a full model change. In four or five years, there will be about 10 models," Cho told reporters, referring to environmentally friendly gasoline-electric hybrid motor vehicles. (Kyodo News)
