ICN Reminds Auto Writers Entries Due For 2003 International Wheel Awards Competition
DETROIT, Jan. 20, 2003; Entries for the Detroit Press Club Foundation's 2003 International Wheel Awards, honoring excellence in automotive journalism, are due Jan. 31, 2003.
The reminder was issued today by Steve Purdy, chairman of the Wheel Awards committee of the Individual Communicators Network, the not-for-profit group that is managing this year's competition on behalf of the DPCF.
The competition is being presented in cooperation with the Automotive Hall of Fame (AHF) and other corporate and individual sponsors. Entries are open to material published or aired in 2002. Awards will be announced at an April 10, 2003 presentation at the AHF in Dearborn, Mich.
Cash, trophies and certificates will be awarded to winning entries in the following categories: Best News Story - Newspaper, General Interest Magazine/Special Interest Publication, Internet, Television and Radio; Best Editorial or Column (Print); Best News Programming/Documentary (Broadcast); Best Product Review/Evaluation (Print); Best News; and Photography.
