RIS Delivers Web-Enabled GUI for ACIC; New Interface Gives Agents Web Access to Policy Processing System

    DUBLIN, Ohio--Jan. 7, 2003--Results International Systems (RIS), an award-winning outsourcing and application service provider (ASP) for the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry, has delivered a web-enabled graphical user interface (GUI) for American Commerce Insurance Company (ACIC). This new interface for the company's AS/400 policy processing system was delivered on schedule and under budget.
    The new interface provides ACIC agents with Internet access to ACIC's A/S 400-based processing system. ACIC agents can now enter new quotes and policies, and access existing ones, without using the "green screens" traditionally associated with an AS/ 400 system. The system presents data in a tabular format, designed for ease of maneuverability within a policy or quote. System screens and fields have been merged to create a streamlined process allowing for faster and easier policy and quote issuance.
    Agent feedback has been positive for this easy-to-use system. Company personnel report a reduction in both entry errors and the volume of data entry work required.
