Detroit Auto Show: Pricing on All-New 2003 FX45 and G35 Sport Sedan 6MT

    GARDENA, Calif.--Jan. 6, 2003--Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc., today announced pricing on the all-new 2003 FX45 premium crossover SUV, which is set to go on sale January 24, 2003 at 158 Infiniti dealers nationwide. The all-wheel drive FX45, with its standard 315-horsepower V8 engine, 5-speed automatic transmission and long list of luxury features, has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting at $44,225.
    A powerful V6 engine version is also available, called the FX35. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the FX35 is $35,700 for the all-wheel drive model and $34,200 for the optional two-wheel drive model.
    "The FX45, like the Q45, G35 and M45, represents our intention to stand out from the pack of less exciting, less confident vehicles currently in the performance luxury market," said Mark McNabb, vice president and general manager, Infiniti Division. "It is an innovative design with its trend-setting exterior and interior styling, and in its application of technology and engineering toward the creation of stunning performance."
    Infiniti also announced pricing today on a new addition to the hot-selling G35 sport sedan line-up, a manual transmission model. The G35 sport sedan with 6-speed close-ratio transmission and sport-tuned suspension has a starting MSRP of $29,100 and $32,300 with the addition of the Premium Package.
    "The G35, named 2003 Motor Trend Car of the Year, clearly demonstrates Infiniti's goal to offer the most advanced vehicles in class, providing power, performance and luxury features all at a tremendous value," said McNabb. "The addition of the much-anticipated 6MT for drivers wanting an even higher level of control completes the G35 lineup."

    2003 FX45 Details

    The all-new 2003 Infiniti FX45 combines aggressive styling, outstanding performance and handling and luxury car comfort and amenities into a truly breakthrough design. A SUV with the essence of a sports car, the FX45 was conceived on the theme of a "Bionic Cheetah," utilizing advanced technology to create one of the best performing premium crossover SUVs ever imagined.
    The all-wheel drive FX45 is powered by a 315-horsepower 4.5-liter V8 (based on the class-leading 2002 Infiniti Q45 powerplant) and features standard 20-inch wheels and tires, leather seating and a sport-tuned 4-wheel independent suspension. The 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6-equipped version, the FX35, is available in all-wheel or optional rear-wheel drive. The FX35 V6 is shared with the award-winning Infiniti G35 sport coupe and sport sedan. All FX45 models utilize an enhanced version of the advanced FM (Front Mid-ship) platform.
    Inside, the FX45 provides a highly personalized interior environment with cockpit-like styling, sports seats and extensive use of real aluminum trim accents. Other available equipment includes a DVD-based Infiniti Navigation System, rear seat DVD Mobile Entertainment System with wireless headphones and remote control, RearView Monitor, Intelligent Key, Tire Pressure Monitor System and Intelligent Cruise Control.
