Chrysler Group Brings in the New Year with a New Look

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2, 2003; The Chrysler Group will start out the New Year with a new look across the Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge brands.

"With the all-new Chrysler Pacifica and Crossfire launching in the next several months, introducing the 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and sedan to the showroom at the beginning of the new year provides a consistent look across the brand," said George Murphy, Senior Vice President, Global Brand Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "The new 2004 Dodge Stratus sedan has a strong family resemblance to the existing Stratus coupe and Dodge Neon. Even the timeless design of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is accentuated with a new fascia for 2004 that reflects the authentic character of a Jeep vehicle."

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee debuts with a new appearance, expanded model line and unique features as this legendary 4x4 continues to set the standard for all other vehicles in its class.

The 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee features a fresh look with a new front fascia, new grille and new fog lamp appearance for all models. Along with its new appearance, the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee gives customers even more options than before by expanding to four models: Laredo, the new Special Edition, Limited and Overland.

The new Special Edition model has the monochromatic exterior design cues of the Limited model. Four-wheel drive Special Edition models also include: fog lamps, Quadra Trac II® transfer case, AM/FM/Cassette/10 disc CD with Infinity® speakers and a Special Edition badge. A similar version is available in two-wheel drive with slightly different content.

In keeping with the Jeep brand's "go-anywhere, do-anything" philosophy, the 2004 Grand Cherokee is offered with a new Navigation Radio for the first time from the factory. This new system combines a 4.9-inch full-color display, AM/FM Stereo, CD Player and navigation system that utilizes DVD technology all in one handy unit.

Also new on four-wheel drive Laredo models is the Quadra-Trac I® single- speed transfer case. A derivative of the award-winning Quadra-Trac II transfer case, Quadra-Trac I offers simplicity and convenience for those customers that do not take their vehicle off-road or tow heavy loads. There is no need to shift levers -- Quadra Trac I will respond when there is a loss of traction. For 2004, Select-Trac® with low range remains standard on four-wheel drive Laredo models, while Quadra-Trac I is available as a no- charge option.

For 2004, all Grand Cherokee models are offered in two new exterior colors -- Midnight Blue and Lava Red.
