Brian Horowitz to Share Secrets of Successful Retailing at SEMA Spring Expo 2003

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Dec. 19, 2002) - Brian Horowitz, president
of the American Products Co. (APC), will speak about successful
retailing tactics at a special seminar during the SEMA Spring
Expo 2003 from 1-2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, at the Nashville
(Tenn.) Convention Center.

Horowitz, whose company supplies many products for the compact
performance market customer, will speak about selling and
marketing tactics and about trends for this rapidly growing
industry niche. His target audience for the seminar will
include managers from the "big box" automotive parts retailers
such as Pep Boys, Discount Auto, and Advance Auto Parts as well
as the professional restylers and accessory dealers who will
also attend the SEMA Spring Expo.

APC provides products for light trucks and SUVs as well.

Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of sales and marketing,
said, "We are fortunate to have Brian accept our invitation to
speak at our February trade show. Not only is his company a
leader in this market niche, he also brings the broader insight
and perspective of the niche which his role as chair-elect of
our SEMA Sport Compact Council affords him. I'm sure that it
will be worth everyone's time to hear what Brian has to say."

SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, has tracked
the compact performance market niche since 1997. Retail-level
product sales in the United States in 2001 were $1.518 billion,
a 25 percent increase from the previous year. SEMA Vice
President of Market Research Jim Spoonhower reported that SEMA
members who manufacture products to customize and accessorize
small, medium, and some sports cars see 2002 as a boom year
with a potential growth of nearly 50% in sales, to $2.25
billion at retail.

The compact performance market has become much more mainstream
since the 2001 release of the movie, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS,
according to MacGillivray. It consists of three major types of
small car modifications - exterior or appearance, engine, and
interior (audio/electronic products, seating, and gauges). More
information about the niche is available online at
