ArvinMeritor to Supply Next-Generation Air Disc Brakes to Volvo Group

EAST LIBERTY, Ohio, Dec. 13, 2002; ArvinMeritor, Inc. today announced that the Volvo Group has selected ArvinMeritor's Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group to supply next-generation air disc brakes for both Renault and Volvo heavy trucks. The four-year supply agreement begins in 2004 and is valued at more than $250 million.

This most recent contract is a continuation of existing business and confirms ArvinMeritor as the preferred supplier of air disc brakes for The Volvo Group's heavy commercial vehicles. Earlier this year, ArvinMeritor was also awarded, from the Volvo family of trucks, additional new business for its truck axles in North America.
