    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Dec. 6, 2002--Birmingham-based Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company , has received a John Deere Key Award for Outstanding Supplier Performance in 2001.
    John Deere's Indirect Strategic Sourcing Team presented the award to Motion Industries for excellent effort and accomplishment and demonstration of willingness to work on common objectives. The award highlights the capabilities of the entire Motion Industries organization to support John Deere's Achieving Excellence Process.
