PACCAR Announces Executive Promotions

    BELLEVUE, Wash.--Dec. 4, 2002--PACCAR Inc's board of directors has elected David Hovind to the position of Vice Chairman, effective January 1, 2003. Mr. Hovind has 38 years with PACCAR and has been president since 1992.
    PACCAR Inc's board of directors elected Tom Plimpton to the position of President, effective January 1, 2003. Mr. Plimpton joined the company in 1976 and has had senior management roles with Kenworth, Foden, Peterbilt and DAF.
    PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality, light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates. It also provides financial services and distributes truck parts related to its principal business. In addition, the Bellevue, Washington-based company manufactures winches under the Braden, Gearmatic and Carco nameplates.
