Accuride Canada Inc. and Canadian Auto Workers Reach Early Agreement

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. & LONDON, Ontario--Dec. 2, 2002--Accuride Canada Inc. and the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) Union, Local 27 Unit 17 successfully concluded early labour contract negotiations for the London facility, covering approximately 585 hourly employees.
    The London plant entered into early contract talks in late October and reached a tentative agreement with the CAW on November 28, 2002. The CAW ratified the tentative agreement with an acceptance vote on Saturday, November 30, 2002. The new contract includes incremental general wage increases, improvements to pension and benefits, and provisions that will enhance the London plant's operating effectiveness.
    The London plant's existing contract expires March 13, 2003. The new three-year contract runs concurrent to the existing contract and expires on March 12, 2006. This is the second consecutive early contract agreement negotiated at the London plant.
