Pennzoil to Provide Personalized Auto Web Page Product to Its Auto Dealer-Clients

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--Nov. 25, 2002-- Pennzoil-Quaker State Company, makers of the number one- and number two-selling motor oil brands in the U.S., and MyCarPage.com, an automotive customer retention and e-mail marketing company, today signed a three-year agreement to address the franchise auto dealer market. The agreement utilizes MyCarPage.com's suite of customer relationship management and retention products as a central component of Pennzoil's car dealer program.
The genesis of the Pennzoil-MyCarPage.com agreement dates back to the National Auto Dealers Association convention in February 2002, where Pennzoil executives were searching for products to enhance their franchise auto dealer expansion.
"We selected MyCarPage.com because it supports our goals to combine the power of the Pennzoil brand with a proven solution that bolsters a dealer's customer retention and revenue," said Doug Boyle, Vice President, Automotive Consumer Products, Shell Oil Products U.S., an affiliate of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies. "We're focused on increasing our penetration among franchise auto dealers, and MyCarPage gives us a unique competitive advantage: We're offering the two best motor oil brands and the best online marketing method for growing a dealer's business. Whether it's sending service reminders and new vehicle sales promotions or analyzing customer spending patterns, MyCarPage.com improves customer retention and stimulates dealer business.
"There are currently more than 3,000 franchise auto dealers using the Pennzoil and Quaker State brands, and with MyCarPage as part of our arsenal, we expect to significantly increase our dealer customer base."
Interval Inc. (dba MyCarPage.com) specializes in creating email marketing campaigns and tools that generate showroom traffic, increase service revenue and parts sales, and improve customer satisfaction, retention and referrals. MyCarPage.com and its services, MyCarPage, Prospector, Customer Value Matrix, Up-Link and e-Match combine to assist dealerships seeking to build long-term relationships with current and potential customers.
"It's gratifying Pennzoil recognizes MyCarPage.com as a superior product that helps dealers improve customer traffic and revenue," said Michael Moskowitz, President and founder of MyCarPage.com, a three-year-old Internet marketing company based in Santa Monica, Calif. "Pennzoil recognizes the benefits MyCarPage brings to every profit center within the dealership, including vehicle sales, parts and F&I and the service department. Their commitment to supporting the entire dealership is a winning approach."
"The Pennzoil agreement is one of the most important deals in our history," said C. Bryce Benjamin, Chairman of MyCarPage.com. "We'll significantly expand our client base by gaining entree to thousands of current and future Pennzoil customers."
