Allegis Group Services Initiates Program with General Motors to Manage U.S. Contract Staffing

    HANOVER, Md.--Nov. 22, 2002--Allegis Group Services has launched a program to streamline contract labor procurement and management for certain U. S. operations of General Motors.
    The implementation enables GM managers to request and select contract services and manage contract labor assignments through a central web site.
    Hosted by Allegis Group Services' partner, Chimes, Inc., the new system is integrated with GM's existing time and expense system to provide payment to contract suppliers. Allegis Group Services and Chimes will provide formal training as well as ongoing training support to both the GM customer and the supplier community.
    Allegis Group Services will support General Motors with an around-the-clock program office recently opened in Pontiac, MI.
    Last July, GM signed a contract with Allegis Group Services, a subsidiary of Allegis Group, Inc., to manage GM's contract staffing requirements for U.S. operations. As GM's third party administrator for contract staffing, Allegis Group Services will help GM better align contractor resources with its core business and more efficiently manage and control contractor expenses.
