International Rectifier Appoints Donald R. Dancer as General Counsel

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--Nov. 19, 2002--International Rectifier Corporation today announced the appointment of Donald R. Dancer, a 22-year technology-industry veteran, as Vice President, Secretary, and General Counsel. He will report to Alex Lidow, Chief Executive Officer.
    Mr. Dancer joins the company from General Electric Company, where he served most recently as general counsel for GE Industrial Systems Solutions in Duluth, Georgia, and GE Power Controls in Europe. He has broad corporate experience, including lead counsel responsibility for company operations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has had extensive practice in intellectual property, transactional, international, environmental, antitrust, commercial, and employment law for a variety of businesses.

    Mr. Dancer holds a J.D. degree from DePaul University, where he served on the Board of Editors of the DePaul Law Review, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
