SmarTire Participates in Merrill Lynch Automotive Idea Summit; Presentation by Robert Rudman, President and Chief Executive Officer, to be Broadcast Live Over Internet

    RICHMOND, British Columbia--Nov. 19, 2002-- SmarTire Systems Inc. , a leading developer of tire pressure and temperature monitoring technology, announced today that President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Rudman will be presenting at the Merrill Lynch Automotive Idea Summit at a session entitled "The Value Chain: Tires". Mr. Rudman's presentation, which will be broadcast live over the Internet, will focus on recent U.S. legislation and its impact on the tire monitoring industry.
