Schneider National Bulk Carriers to Outsource TripPak Express and TripPak Online; Technology Innovator to Improve Cash Flow in Proven Process

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Nov. 19, 2002--Schneider National, Inc., the largest privately held truckload carrier in the United States and a recognized innovator in the use of technology to create a competitive advantage has signed a multi-year agreement to implement outsourced scanning with TripPak ONLINE. The agreement also introduces TripPak EXPRESS, the popular drop box service that has earned the complete confidence of both drivers and fleet executives.
"The Schneider team concentrates on identifying those core service activities where they have or can develop unique capabilities. Then, they seek ways to eliminate, limit or outsource activities where the company cannot attain superiority," said Mark A. Cleveland, Executive Vice President of TMI. "Schneider invests in processes and they look for world class exception management capabilities." Schneider has contracted for centralized, overnight scanning services delivering high quality images, verified against fleet dispatch data. Schneider National Bulk Carriers will be the first division to implement the system with service to start on December first. The agreement allows for extension of the service to Schneider National in a multi-phase process.
"Schneider National Bulk Carriers has been imaging paperwork in-house for many years. TripPak scanning will further increase the velocity of our billing and settlements processes with their overnight service," said Paul Janco, Controller for Schneider National Bulk Carriers.
"Schneider National is excited to outsource our drop box network and scanning process for our Bulk division. TripPak Express offers drivers flexibility by having access to a larger network of drop boxes," explained Kim Riemer, Senior Regional Manager, Schneider National. "Outsourcing the scanning process will improve the speed of document availability."
TripPak ONLINE provides a complete solution for outsourced mailroom processing, with trained document preparation technicians, a tight focus on quality with secure facilities. TMI stores and can retrieve if necessary any paper document, the key to meeting shipper demands for proof of delivery and related paper work, while capturing every record that a driver submits in the trip envelope. The commercial scanning operation works overnight to capture the images that drive invoicing, payroll processes and other critical functions. TripPak ONLINE certifies an electronic document, a witness to the fact that each watermarked image is an original document, captured in a process that delivers an image that shippers accept as standing in the place of an original.
TMI is a premier provider document management services to the trucking industry, offering the only integrated outsource infrastructure provider (OIP) resources for time sensitive document processing. The fourteen-year old company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with offices in Brentwood, Tennessee and Wilmington, Ohio.
