Paul "Scooter" Brothers Wins the 2002 SEMA Person of the Year Award

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2002) -- Each year SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, presents the Person of
the Year award to one member who has made outstanding contributions during the previous fiscal year. This year’s deserving
recipient is Paul "Scooter" Brothers of Competition Cams, Memphis, Tenn.

"Scooter has been a great asset as a member of the SEMA Board of Directors and is one of the most knowledgeable people I
know. He’s always at the top of his game when it comes to our industry as well as technology matters," said Nate Shelton,
chairman of the SEMA Board of Directors.

During the past year, Brothers has been instrumental in progress made on SEMA’s Technology Transfer Program with Ford and
GM. A current member of the SEMA Board of Directors, he also has served as the manufacturing liaison between the NHRA
(National Hot Rod Association) and SEMA.

Currently, Brothers is working on a special project with Ford on a high-performance calibration package for the extremely popular F-
150 pickup using products from SEMA-member manufacturers.
