Navigation DVDs by Tele Atlas for VDO Dayton C-IQ system
GENT, Belgium--Nov. 18, 2002--The cooperation of Tele Atlas, worldwide leader in the development of state-of-the-art geographic databases, and Siemens VDO Automotive, one of the leading suppliers of car navigation systems, is expanding.The company will bundle Tele Atlas's navigation CDs in its retrofit car navigation systems carrying the VDO Dayton brand in some European countries. More aftermarket CDs with up-to-date data for the VDO Dayton brand will gradually become available for all European countries. In January, VDO Dayton will release a Europe DVD with Tele Atlas digital maps for its new C-IQ system. Siemens VDO Automotive also aims to use Tele Atlas digital maps in on-board navigation systems it provides for leading European car manufacturers.
