Motion Institute of Industrial Education Adds New Courses

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Nov. 15, 2002--Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company announces the addition of new courses available through The Motion Institute of Industrial Education.

    Courses added to The Motion Institute's 2003 program include:

    Industrial Maintenance Basics - Taking this 3-day course gives
    entry-level maintenance personnel and other employees a solid
    introduction to the field of industrial machinery. The class
    includes information on the operation and care of various
    machine components presented by industry-seasoned,
    easy-to-understand hands-on instructors.

    Introduction to Electrical Maintenance - New electrical personnel
    will value this practical training course that provides a
    solid foundation of electrical maintenance skills and
    practices. They will gain a higher level of understanding
    basic electrical apparatus.

    Manufacturing - A Strategic Overview - Get a view of the "Big
    Picture" of a manufacturing company from taking this course.
    Maintenance personnel and operators learn how their jobs fit
    into the overall scheme of the organization, working in teams
    to operate a typical manufacturing company, experiencing the
    strategic and financial issues involved in running a
    manufacturing operation.

    Hydrostatic Transmissions - Those who want a basic understanding
    of hydrostatic drives will find this class useful. After a
    comprehensive overview and comparisons between open and closed
    loop circuits, participants learn to select all major
    components necessary to install a closed loop system.

    Maintenance Supervisor Training - Entry-level supervisors who want
    a solid foundation on which to build a successful career in
    leadership should enroll in this class. Topics include
    communication and effective listening, conflict and anger
    management, goal setting, hiring skills, and stress and time
    management.

    Online Safety and Health Training - This simple e-learning option
