HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Nov. 13, 2002 -- Foresite Design, Inc. (Foresite), an E-business solutions provider announces its completion of Car Toys Online. Car Toys Online is the e-commerce division of Car Toys, Inc. (Car Toys), the largest independent retailer of car audio and wireless products in the United States. The effort has resulted in a completely redesigned commerce site for Car Toys with significantly enhanced functionality. The new site is located at: www.cartoys.com.
"We needed a site that allowed for ease of use with powerful functionality but that did not sacrifice superior design. Foresite's approach to 'Information Design' let us accomplish all three," said Glen Hamilton, Director of E-Commerce, at Car Toys. "Consulting closely with Car Toys' staff throughout the process, Foresite took the lead responsibility for all aspects of the project from research, design, data normalization, programming to backend integration. In addition, Foresite brought the project in within budget and on schedule. We are very pleased with the result and anticipate the site improving our sales and customer experience," said Hamilton.
Car Toys Online launched in October 2002. The new site addresses Car Toys' needs by providing improved performance, design, security, maintainability and scalability. Foresite's client list includes companies such as EdwinWatts, Sharp Electronics LAG, Luminaire, ClickPharmacy.com, Spill911, AsiaFoods.com and Cooper, Inc. (Western Warehouse).
Foresite built the new Car Toys site using Macromedia Cold Fusion. The site contains many of Foresite's newest programs and modules and takes advantage of advanced SQL development techniques. These methods significantly improved the performance, security, maintainability and scalability of the site.
