Automotive Training Goes High-Tech and Hands On

ORLANDO, Fla.--Nov. 8, 2002--Lincoln dealers and sales staff throughout Florida will be participating in their first hands-on experience with the all-new, high-tech Lincoln Aviator on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 11-12, at Orlando's Executive airport (501 Herndon Avenue, Orlando). The Orlando stop is one of two Florida training sessions that conclude a "traveling road show" that has made 23 stops across the country.

"The Aviator is going to be tremendously popular, and our staff is very excited about the chance to get behind the wheel," said Jeff Shaheen, marketing strategy manager for Lincoln Mercury's Orlando region. The high-tech, hands-on training underscores Lincoln's commitment to making the purchase process more user-friendly for customers. "A sales force that is able to provide first-hand knowledge of the vehicle's features and options ensures customers receive the most accurate and up-to-date information when working with their sales rep," Shaheen noted.

Local media are invited to participate in portions of the training, including the hands-on "ride and drive" segment.

Lincoln is introducing a series of new vehicles for 2003 that will transform Lincoln Mercury showrooms. Among the all-new vehicles is the Lincoln Aviator SUV, Lincoln's first mid-size luxury SUV. Designed to showcase the high-tech and luxury features and options in the Aviator, the road shows put dealers and sales teams through an extensive "hands-on" training session.

Built on the "design DNA" of the popular Navigator, the Lincoln Aviator has inherited the full-size power and luxury consumers have come to expect from Lincoln Navigator, without the full-size package. The DNA may be the same, but the Aviator has an attitude all its own. Nimble, spirited, agile -- automotive experts agree that the Lincoln Aviator is one of the smoothest riding SUVs in its class. It also boasts several high-tech safety features, including one of the most comprehensive restraint systems available.

In addition to the Aviator SUV, other vehicles to be introduced throughout the year include the redesigned Lincoln Navigator, a refreshed LS sports sedan, and a completely redesigned Town.
