At the same time, MNAO announced that it was extending its bumper-to-bumper warranty to 4 years/50,000 miles on all 2003 models, including those already sold.
Available in two extremely well-equipped trim levels, the i and the s, the impressive MAZDA6 offers superior driving dynamics, quality craftsmanship as well as eye-catching exterior and interior design in one fun-to-drive package.
The 2003 MAZDA6 i is powered by an all-new 160-hp 2.3-liter I-4 with variable valve timing and comes with one of the longest lists of standard equipment of any mid-size car. Included in the MAZDA6 i's base MSRP of $18,530 are five-speed manual transmission, 16-inch wheels, large four-wheel disc brakes, along with power windows, door locks and mirrors. Also standard are leather-wrapped steering wheel (with audio and cruise control buttons), leather shift knob and boot, dual stainless exhaust system with dual chrome tailpipes, front and rear stabilizer bars as well as dual front "smart" airbags. A tilt/telescopic steering wheel, color-keyed exterior door handles and mirrors, AM/FM stereo with built-in CD player, dual 12V outlets, one-touch folding 60/40 split rear seatbacks and electric trunk release round out the standard features available on the MAZDA6 i.
The MAZDA6 s comes with a powerful 220-hp 3.0-liter V-6, also with variable valve timing and all of the MAZDA6 i's features plus ABS, traction control, 8-way power driver's seat, 16-inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels and a perimeter alarm system. Base MSRP of the 2003 MAZDA6 s is $21,100. A fully loaded MAZDA6 s with five-speed manual transmission and every available option, including leather seating, power moonroof and an exciting Spot Package that includes performance features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust and a rear spoiler, will run approximately $25,860.
The 2003 MAZDA6 i and s, as well as every 2003 vehicle in Mazda's lineup, are backed by the company's new 4-year/50,000-mile warranty that covers every part on the vehicle except those subject to normal wear. Also included in the warranty are 24-hour roadside assistance, use of a loaner car and protection against corrosion for five years regardless of mileage.
