Welcome to the 2003 Preliminary NMRA Rules & Regulations:
Released on Friday, November 1st, 2002, were the preliminary version of the 2003 NMRA Rules and Regulations for the 2003 NMRA Ford Drag Racing Series. These rules have been updated for several classes with revised prelimary rules as of Monday, November 4th, 2002.
As you might have noticed, the 2003 NMRA Rules are in a different format broken down by a specific sections with a numbering system. This format has been implemented to make reading and reviewing the rules for compliance easier and quicker. In the process of converting the rules into the updated and revised format, the NMRA tech staff did an excellent but difficult job, and we are aware that there may be some areas of change that were not intended. As such, the initial release of the rules is in a preliminary format to allow the competitors to review the rules for such items.
The current version of the NMRA 2003 preliminary rules can be viewed at http://www.nmraracing.com/forums
All of the preliminary category rules have been released with the exception of the Pro 5.0 class. The Pro 5.0 class is extremely important to the NMRA and the future of Ford racing. We acknowledge that the Pro 5.0 class has not enjoyed the level of success that we all are reaching for. We are working on a 5-year plan for the Pro 5.0 class with the goal of bringing it back to the pinnacle of Ford drag racing.
Competitors are encouraged to submit their feedback on the 2003 NMRA preliminary rules concerning errors, ommisions, or changes to Wesley Roberson via e-mail only at wroberson@promediapub.com by Friday, November 8th, 2002. The final NMRA rules will be released to the public on Tuesday, November 12th, 2002.
