ARCA RE/MAX SERIES RELEASES 2003 SCHEDULE

TOLEDO OH (11-3-02) – The ARCA RE/MAX Series, having just completed
its 50th anniversary season of competition, has released its 2003
schedule to include 22 events at 18 tracks in 13 states.

Often recognized as the world’s most versatile racing tour, the RE/MAX
Series will again hold true to form with events scheduled at some of the
most prestigious superspeedways combined with an impressive assortment
of short-tracks on both pavement and dirt.

Superspeedway events on the schedule include the traditional season
opener at Daytona Int’l Speedway on February 8. The 40th running of the
Daytona opener signals a significant change in that the 2003 Daytona
ARCA 200, which will again serve as a preliminary event to NASCAR’s Bud
Shootout, will run on Saturday rather than Sunday. From there, the
RE/MAX Series makes its annual stop at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March
as a companion event with the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Lowe’s Motor
Speedway in Concord, North Carolina will again host two events, as will
Pocono Raceway and Nashville Superspeedway. Kentucky Speedway, Kansas
Speedway, Michigan Int’l Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and Talladega
Superspeedway make up the remaining superspeedway races in 2003.

A new stop in ’03 will include the brand-new Lake Erie Speedway in North
East, Pennsylvania on July 12. Additional short-tracks returning include
the legendary Salem and Winchester Speedways in Indiana, Berlin Raceway
in Marne, Michigan, Toledo Speedway, South Boston Speedway as well as
the classic dirt fairgrounds miles in Springfield and DuQuoin, Illinois.
Salem remains the only short-track that appears on the schedule twice
however the Salem race in September will run under the lights on
Saturday night rather the following day. The September 13th event, not
only marks the 71st appearance of the RE/MAX Series at Salem since 1955,
it will also be the first ARCA race to be showcased under the lights at
Salem.

In addition to its share of stand-alone events, the RE/MAX Series will
race in companion with the NASCAR Winston Cup Series eight times
including NASCAR’s all-star event – The Winston at Lowe’s in May, the
NASCAR Busch Series at Nashville in April, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Series at Nashville in August and the Indy Racing League at Chicagoland
in September.

Announcements concerning the ‘03 RE/MAX Series TV schedule will be made
in a press conference on Saturday, December 14 at 2:30 PM ET at the
Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Kentucky just prior to
the championship awards banquet.

In addition, a high-quality, hard cover book documenting the history of
ARCA from its inception in 1953 through the 2002 season is due out in
December. The book will also cover separate chapters on ARCA-sanctioned
tracks through the years including the complete history of longtime
ARCA-sanctioned tracks Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways as well as
chapters on the “Big-5”. The Big-5 are chapters on some of the most
distinguished players in ARCA history including 6-time national driving
champion Iggy Katona, 3-time driving and 3-time car owner champion Jack
Bowsher, 4-time driving champion Frank Kimmel, 3-time driving champion
Tim Steele and ARCA racing legend Joy Fair.
