Freaks Host Street Drags Vs. The Pros Symposium @ SEMA 2002

SpeedFreaks Ask...
How Heated Will It Get When The Heat Meets The Streets?

Hollywood, CA (November 3, 2002) - SpeedFreaks, the media pioneers of Sport Compact drag racing and it's lifestyle, have been tapped to once again host this year's Las Vegas SEMA show symposium at the Toyo Tires booth.

This years topic? Street Racers vs. The Pros

In what will be another standing room only gig for the Freaks, the guest panel set to
'mix it up' with such a controversial issue as street racing includes Gregg Guenthard, Sport Compact Council w/ R.A.S.R. (Racers Against Street Racing); Andy Calise, Public Affairs Officer of the California Highway Patrol; Craig Paisley, former street racer turned Sport Compact Pro Racer; Abel Ibarra, former street racer turned Sport Compact Pro Racer; Chris Blair, Director of Drag Racing Operations at Las Vegas Motor Speedway; Sean Murphey, Street Racer and President of Teckademics, a company that embraces the street racing scene.

WHERE: Toyo Tires booth #40527
(Wheel and Tire Performance Section at SEMA/Las Vegas Convention Center)
            Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Two and a half years ago, on their first-ever show, seven-time Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath and Funny Car pilot Jerry Toliver waited in the green room as the Freaks introduced the Freak Nation to Sport Compacts with one of it's forefathers, Adam Saruwatari. That's how dedicated they've been to the Sport Compact drags and the scene that surrounds it.

SpeedFreaks are also aware of the street racing problem going on in every city in America. SEMA will not be the first time they straight up address the issue, either. Earlier this Fall, SpeedFreaks successfully wrapped tapping as the anchor of a TNN television special devoted to street racing.

The SEMA forum will be in front of a live audience as well as taped and available on SpeedFreaks web site, www.SpeedFreaks.TV
