… Chevrolet leads in event victories at North Carolina Speedway in the
modern era (1972-present) with
19. Ford is second with 13 wins.

… Joe Nemechek, driving the No. 25 UAW-Delphi Chevy Monte Carlo here, is the
defending race champion. He won the 2001 fall race in the No. 33 Chevrolet.

… Chris Carrier, crew chief on Nemechek¹s winning car last year, is now crew
chief on Mike Skinner¹s No. 4 Kodak Films Chevy Monte Carlo. Skinner starts
fourth in today¹s race

… The farthest back in the field that a race winner started under the
400-mile format was 28th by No. 55 Schneider Electric Chevy Monte Carlo
driver Bobby Hamilton. Hamilton starts 40th today.

… Bobby Hamilton has scored seven top-10 finishes in his last 10 races at
