Nissan North America Reports October Sales; Infiniti Sales Higher Than Any October in the Division's History; Nissan Altima Has Its Best October Ever
GARDENA, Calif.--Nov. 1, 2002--Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) reported October total sales of 57,539 for its Nissan and Infiniti divisions, a 12.6 percent decrease. For the year, NNA has sold 624,514 vehicles, up 6.6 percent for the calendar year.INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS
| -- | Infiniti, the luxury division of NNA, had October sales of 7,145 units, a 2.5 percent increase |
| -- | Calendar year-to-date Infiniti sales are 70,990 vehicles, a 19.6 percent increase |
| -- | The new 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan contributed most to the increase, with sales of 2,696 units |
| -- | October marked the first sales of M45 and G35 Sport Coupe with sales of 337 and 294 respectively |
NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS
-- Nissan-brand sales for October totaled 50,394, a 14.4 percent
decrease
-- Calendar year-do-date Nissan sales are 553,524, a 5.1 percent
increase
-- The Nissan Altima mid-size sedan had its best October ever,
with sales of 16,315, up 12.5 percent; even with no direct
incentives, Altima continues to have strong momentum in a
highly competitive segment

-- Calendar year-to-date NNA combined sales now total 624,514
units, a 6.6 percent increase
-- Sales of NNA's North American-produced vehicles for October
totaled 38,391, representing 66.3 percent of all NNA vehicles
sold in the United States
