Georgia DOT Selects Iteris Vantage Products
ANAHEIM, Calif.--Nov. 1, 2002--Iteris Inc., a subsidiary of Odetics Inc. today announced that following a competitive bid process, its Vantage video detection products have been selected by the State of Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).Temple Inc., the regional dealer for Iteris, was the recipient of the one-year procurement contract. Included in the contract are the Edge2 processor (single camera version), extension modules, and cameras. This contract will allow any city, county, or agency within Georgia to easily purchase Vantage video detection products.

Iteris manufactures and sells its Vantage video detection for traffic control applications, giving traffic managers tools to mitigate traffic congestion by modifying traffic signal timing or detecting incidents more quickly. Vantage also offers data collection software for highway management systems. More than 12,000 Vantage sensors have been deployed by hundreds of agencies in 49 states, as well as Europe and Asia. The product is currently sold through a network of 30 independent dealers in North America, Asia, Europe, and South America.
