GM Daewoo October Car Sales Down 33% On Year

SEOUL, November 1, 2002 Dow Jones reported that GM Daewoo Automotive & Technology Co., a joint venture between U.S.-based General Motors Corp. and creditors of bankrupt Daewoo Motor Co. of South Korea, said Friday the company's overall automobile sales fell 33% on year in October to 21,998 units.

Sales from January to October totaled 315,369 units, down 20% from a year ago.

This is the first time the company is reporting sales under the GM-Daewoo name.
