ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants Launches Enhanced Havoline Motor Oil

SAN RAMON, Calif.--Oct. 29, 2002--ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants (CTGL) today announced the enhanced version of its popular Havoline(R) passenger car motor oil. The improved Havoline Motor Oil demonstrated almost 40 percent less wear than the previous version in an industry-standard test that measures the wear protection of motor oils on valve trains.

    In the U.S. the average age of a car has increased over the past several years. Because of this trend many lubricant suppliers have introduced oils specifically tailored for high mileage vehicles. With our enhanced motor oil, drivers of both new and older vehicles can continue to count on Havoline to deliver top quality engine protection.
    Our enhanced Havoline Motor Oil will be available in SAE 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 20W-50, 30 and 40 grades and all meet API SL requirements. The 5W-30 and 10W-30 also meet API energy conserving and ILSAC GF-3 standards. Additionally, Havoline Motor Oil SAE 5W-20 that meets the requirements of newer Ford and Honda vehicles is also available. The enhanced Havoline Motor Oil will be available in the United States by the end of November 2002.
