ADVISORY/AAA Texas Says October the Most Dangerous Month in Texas for Teen Drivers; Press Conference in San Antonio Next Week
--WHAT & WHY: For the past 25 years, October has been found to be the most dangerous month for teen drivers in Texas. AAA Texas looked at statistics dating as far back as 1975, and found that on average more teens, aged 15 to 17, are killed or injured in October than any other month of the year. In light of this finding, Governor Rick Perry has proclaimed October "Teen Safe Driving Month" in Texas, urging all motorists to support and participate in efforts that help teens become safer drivers and reduce teen traffic deaths.
