Trading in Brilliance China Suspended

HONG KONG, Oct 23, 2002 Reuters is reporting that trading in the shares of China's largest minivan maker Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd was suspended on Wednesday, the Hong Kong stock exchange said.

The company said earlier that Chinese authorities had approved the arrest of its former chief Yang Rong for suspected involvement in economic crimes. It said it would make a further announcement on the issue later.
