The following U.S. and Canadian assembly plants are working overtime this week: Atlanta and Chicago (Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable), Dearborn (Ford Mustang), Edison (Ford Ranger and Mazda B-Series), Kansas City (Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute), Kansas City (Ford F-Series), Louisville (Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer), Michigan Truck (Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator), Norfolk (F-Series), Ontario (Ford F-Series), and Twin Cities (Ford Ranger). In addition, Saturday overtime (two shifts) is scheduled at Kansas City SUV (Escape and Tribute), Kansas City Truck (F-Series), Michigan Truck, and Twin Cities on October 19.
Next week (October 21), all North American assembly plants will be operating, except Hermosillo where production of Escort ZX2 and Ford Focus will be suspended one week because of a component shortage. Hermosillo production is scheduled to resume October 28.
