Royal & SunAlliance USA Launches New, Customer-Friendly Internet Site

    CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Oct. 16, 2002--Royal & SunAlliance USA, one of the leading property/casualty insurers in the U.S., today announced the launch of a new, corporate website that provides easy access to the company's product, claims and agent information.
    The new site, located at www.royalsunalliance-usa.com, offers enhanced usability and a more intuitive design and navigation. It provides multiple paths to key information, including a new agent match functionality and business-specific claim-reporting information. Also provided are links to the company's valuable web-based tools, including:

-- Advanced Risk Management System (ARMS), a comprehensive line of information services to support risk management activities;
-- CarPort(SM), an automobile claims reporting tool for personal
lines customers; and

    -- AutoLink(SM), a policy management system available to the company's nonstandard auto agents.

    The site's look and feel is based on the company's new marketing campaign - "Navigating the Changing Tides of Business." That campaign, as well as the site, emphasizes Royal & SunAlliance's ability to meet its customers' evolving business needs.
    "Our new site enhances our Internet presence by more accurately personifying Royal & SunAlliance's strengths to customers, producers and employees," said Steve Mulready, the company's president and CEO. "It also gives our constituents easy access to valuable information and on-line tools. All in all, the site does a terrific job of marketing Royal & SunAlliance externally."
