Reichhold Announces New Assistant General Counsel
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--Oct. 15, 2002--Reichhold today announced that Edward Ovsenik joined the company as assistant general counsel on October 15.In his new role, Ovsenik is responsible for legal issues associated with environmental and real estate matters for all Reichhold businesses on a global basis.
"The role of assistant general counsel is vital to Reichhold's business success and requires a wide range of legal experience including environmental, toxic tort and cost recovery litigation, negotiation of real estate transactions and a solid background in handling those issues as an in-house lawyer," said Dan Uyesato, general counsel for Reichhold, Inc. "Ed is an invaluable asset to the Reichhold legal team as he brings with him a long, accomplished history in counseling clients on compliance matters and litigation over a broad spectrum of issues. His experience dealing with corporate governance issues will be invaluable."
Prior to joining Reichhold, Ovsenik spent 14 years working at Dow Corning Corporation in its law department. Most recently, he was responsible for the counseling, compliance and auditing group where he was instrumental in seeking solutions to compliance issues and ensuring that the company resolved the issues in a timely and effective manner.
Ovsenik received his Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Dowling College. Ovsenik is located in Reichhold's corporate headquarters in RTP, N.C., USA.
