Delphi Group recognizes the work of General Motors, The United States Naval Research Laboratory and Bharat Petroleum Corporation. These organizations were found to have leveraged the deployment of content, process and portal related technologies with exceptional results. These Delphi Best Practice Awards will be presented at Delphi's 2002 Integrated Enterprise Summit in Reston, Virginia (October 28-30, 2002). The three organizations selected as Delphi Best Practices were chosen from over 100 applicants by a team of Delphi analysts. Organizations submitted applications, which were screened and further examined by Delphi's analyst team for a final evaluation. Decisions were based on a number of subjective and objective factors including, but not limited to, measured payback (ROI), scale of the deployment (in number of users and business partners), business or organizational impact, and cost reduction.

The United States Naval Research Laboratory and Convera are recognized for their solution which has enhanced research productivity and sparked scientific creativity in the maritime applications of new and improved materials, techniques, equipment systems, and oceanic, atmospheric, and space sciences and related technologies.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) is recognized for its deployment of a global refinery portal that has improved the safety, efficiency, productivity, education, security and customer service of its operations.
