NAGOYA — Toyota Motor Corp and Hino Motors Ltd will market new trucks next year with a jointly developed diesel engine that clears tough clean-air requirements to be enforced in 2005, sources close to the automakers said Friday.
The vehicle, based on the Toyota Dyna small truck, has a jointly developed system that reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides, black smoke and particulate matter by 80% from the currently required discharge levels. (Kyodo News)
