DaimlerChrysler to Present Offer to Union Monday
TORONTO, Oct. 13, 2002 - DaimlerChrysler will present the CAW with its first offer tomorrow Monday, October 14th at 10:00am which will signal whether the Canadian Auto Workers Union is facing a strike. "If the Company tables the economic pattern obtained at GM, but combines it with concessions and no resolution to the issues of Pillette Rd. and the Brampton laid off workers, they are putting us on strike," says CAW President Buzz Hargrove. The Company will present the offer in the Rosetti Room of Toronto's Delta Chelsea Hotel at 10:00am.
